Are You Stuck In COMPLICATED Grief?

Sadness is the normal reaction to a loss in life.  That's the experience of SIMPLE grief.

But - if you're suffering from COMPLICATED grief, you don't just experience normal sadness. 

Go through the list below.  If any of the items apply to you - particularly in the aftermath of loss - you could well be suffering from complicated grief rather than simple grief.

  • Are you unable to sleep?
  • Do you have difficulty managing everyday responsibilities at work, school or home?
  • Do you feel confused, or in a daze?
  • Do you have a sense of hopelessness and apathy about life?
  • Are you struggling with feelings of inadequacy or helplessness?
  • Are you overwhelmed by feelings of fear, anxiety or dread?
  • Do you get stuck in feelings of loneliness, abandonment or rejection?
  • Are you feeling guilt, shame or self-loathing?
  • Do you experience waves of rage and anger?
  • Are you feeling resentment, vindictiveness, bitterness, jealousy or envy?
  • Do you struggle with feelings of distrust and betrayal?
  • Are you lost in unrelenting sorrow and anguish, even months or years after your loss?
  • Are compulsive or addictive behaviors taking over your life since your loss?
